Support
We're here to help you get the most out of Sakina.
1. Contact us
For any question, bug report, billing issue, or feedback, email ibrahim.ahmed1564@gmail.com.
When you write to us about a problem, it helps if you can include:
- The device you're using (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.2)
- The version of Sakina (visible in Settings → About)
- A short description of what you expected and what happened instead
- A screenshot, if relevant
2. Getting started
Sakina is a daily devotional. The core loop is simple: tell the app how you're feeling, and it returns one of the 99 Names of Allah, Quran verses tied to that Name, and a dua you can recite and save.
The first time you open the app, you'll go through a short onboarding that personalizes your experience. You can complete it in about three minutes, and your answers help Sakina pick more relevant Names and duas for you over time.
3. Account & sign-in
You can create a Sakina account with Sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password. All three methods give you the same access — your check-ins, reflections, saved duas, streak, and progress are tied to your account and sync across devices.
Forgot your password? Tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link. If you signed up with Apple or Google, sign back in with that same provider — there's no password to reset.
Want to delete your account? Open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, all journal entries, reflections, saved duas, streak history, and economy data. The action cannot be undone.
4. Subscription & billing
Sakina is free to use with a daily warm-up of reflections, personal duas, and Name discoveries. Sakina Premium unlocks unlimited Reflect sessions, unlimited personal duas, full access to daily Discover Name, and the complete card collection.
Managing your subscription. Your subscription is billed through your Apple ID. To view, change, or cancel it, open the App Store on your device, tap your profile picture, choose Subscriptions, and select Sakina. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — your premium features remain active until then.
Free trial. Sakina Premium offers a free trial for new subscribers. You'll only be charged once the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Sakina. If you'd like to request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
Restoring purchases. If you reinstall Sakina or sign in on a new device and your premium access doesn't appear, open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. This will recover any active subscription tied to your Apple ID.
5. Using Sakina
Daily check-in. Each day, Sakina asks how you're feeling. Your answer becomes a brief reflection that you can save to your journal. Daily check-ins build your streak and help you discover new Names of Allah over time.
Reflect. Write freely about what's on your heart. Sakina matches your reflection to one of the 99 Names of Allah, Quranic verses connected to that Name, and a dua. The Names, verses, and duas come from a pre-verified scholarly database — Sakina does not generate religious content.
Build a Dua. Tell Sakina about a specific need and it will craft a personal dua in Arabic, transliteration, and English, grounded in traditional Islamic supplication patterns.
99 Names. Browse the complete collection of Allah's beautiful Names with Arabic calligraphy, transliteration, meaning, and a short explanation.
Journal. Every check-in, reflection, and saved dua is kept in your journal so you can return to them whenever you want.
Streaks. A daily flame tracks how many days in a row you've checked in. Premium users receive Streak Freezes that protect your streak when you can't check in on a given day.
6. Your data
Your reflections, journal entries, and saved duas are stored in your Sakina account so they sync across devices. We do not sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
You can request a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing ibrahim.ahmed1564@gmail.com.
7. Troubleshooting
The app feels slow or freezes. Force-quit the app (swipe up from the bottom of the screen and swipe Sakina away) and reopen it. If the issue continues, try restarting your device.
I'm not receiving notifications. Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Sakina and make sure notifications are allowed. Then in Sakina, open Settings → Notifications to confirm your reminder time.
My streak disappeared. Streaks reset if you miss a day without a Streak Freeze. If you believe this happened in error, email us with your account email and the approximate date — we can investigate.
I purchased Premium but it isn't showing. Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. If the issue persists, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase, and email us if it still doesn't resolve.
8. Feedback & feature requests
We're building Sakina with the community. If there's a feature you'd love to see, a translation you wish we supported, or a piece of feedback you'd like to share, we'd genuinely love to hear it. Email ibrahim.ahmed1564@gmail.com.
