Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 22, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Sakina account (developer: Ibrahim Ahmed) and the data associated with it.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app
- Open Sakina and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm twice when prompted. The second confirmation is final.
Deletion happens immediately. Your account is removed from our servers and the app signs you out and clears its local copy of your data from that device.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in, email ibrahim.ahmed1564@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes all of the following from our systems:
- Account and identity — your email address, display name, sign-in credentials, and any linked Apple or Google sign-in.
- Your writing — journal entries, reflections, and duas you built or saved.
- Your practice history — daily check-ins, onboarding and discovery answers, activity history, and streaks.
- Your collection and progress — Name cards, quest progress, achievements, XP, Noor, tokens, scrolls, and cosmetics.
- Your settings — notification preferences and scheduled duʿā reminders.
- Your subscription record — the subscription status we store. See below regarding billing.
- Referrals, gifts, and any feedback you submitted through the app.
What is kept, and for how long
- Anonymised diagnostic logs. A small number of technical log entries (for example, a record that the app could not match a word you typed to a Name) are kept with your user identifier permanently removed. They can no longer be linked to you and are retained for product improvement.
- Aggregate analytics. Statistics that cannot be tied back to you individually may be retained.
- Billing records. Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, not by us. They maintain their own transaction and tax records independently, and deleting your Sakina account does not cancel a subscription or request a refund. Manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
- Legal obligations. We may retain limited information where required by law, for the period the law requires.
- Backups. Deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups expire, after which it is unrecoverable.
- Waitlist. If you separately joined the Android waitlist on our website, that email address is held in a list unconnected to your app account. To be removed from it, email us.
Third-party services
Sakina uses a small number of processors that hold their own copies of limited data: RevenueCat (subscription state), Mixpanel (product analytics), Sentry (crash reports), and OneSignal (push notifications). If you would like us to issue deletion requests to these providers as well, say so in your email and we will do so. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and what each receives.
